In the summer of 2015, just a few months away from having our third daughter, I received a phone call from my wife. Our longtime, trusted and affordable babysitter was retiring. I was looking at a once in a lifetime opportunity. After some number crunching and pros and cons lists were finished, it was decided. I quit my job to stay at home with the kids. I took the opportunity to reacquaint myself with dormant creative goals from years past. I blogged, dabbled in poetry, and wrote a book. Nothing truly clicked until I dusted off my old college camera. My passion for photography quickly returned. My camera follows me everywhere, whether to sneak photos of the girls playing out back, or to help remember an action packed summer vacation. I specialize in portraiture and lifestyle photography, aiming to capture the moments between poses, when subjects let their guard down for a fleeting second. I have been given the chance to devote myself to the two things I enjoy the most: family and photography. I plan to make the most of it.
